A flair for alt-country sounds, melodic pop-hooks, and a sound that can blast it to the back of the room, Steady Habits is centred around the lyrical narrative of New-England native, Sean C. Duggan. Holding a place in "the youthful side of Americana" [Country Queer], Duggan's songwriting is poignant, with a sensitivity and grit that evokes a maturity in lived experience.
Pinned as one of the UK's 'Best of UK Country & Americana' [Holler], Steady Habits has moved from strength to strength, performing in both the UK & Internationally, supporting touring artists such as Austin Lucas, Baskery, Native Harrow & Annie Keating. Showchowcase at the AMA UK Conference in Hackney, the band have performed at a number of high-profile festivals such as Black Deer Festival, Maverick, Truck Festival, Elderflower Fields, and headlining the Buddy's Bar stage at the Long Road Festival last Summer.
The band's latest offering, 'I'd Rather Be Alone' premiered on BBC Introducing earlier this Spring, lauded as 'a heady cocktail that is hard to resist' (W21 Music). and previously aired on Baylen Leonard's Front Porch (Absolute Radio) and on BBC Regional Channels including the Ralph Mclean Show.
