A flair for alt-country sounds, melodic pop-hooks, and a voice that can blast it to the back of the room, Steady Habits is centred around the lyrical narrative of New-England native, Sean C. Duggan. Holding a place in "the youthful side of Americana" [Country Queer], Duggan's songwriting is poignant, with a sensitivity and grit that is reminiscent of artists like Jason Isbell, Dawes & BJ Barnham [American Aquarium].
Pinned as one of the UK's 'Best of UK Country & Americana' [Holler], Steady Habits has moved from strength to strength, performing in both the UK & Internationally, supporting touring artists such as Austin Lucas, Demi Marriner, Native Harrow & Annie Keating. Showcasing at the AMA UK Conference in Hackney in 2023, the band have performed at a number of high-profile festivals such as Black Deer Festival, Maverick, Truck Festival & the Long Road Festival. Sean was also featured as a finalist for the Holler songwriter's competition 2023 for their song 'Deviate'.
Having finished their debut album, produced by Sloe Flower Studios [Demi Marriner, Toria Wooff] the band showcase a raw and distinctive sound, steeped in harmonies & guitar jangle. Praparing for their AMA UK Showcase in London next year, Steady Habits are poised to bring their distinctive sound to a wider audience in 2025.
